Neurocardiogenic syncope is neurally mediated impairement of consciousness associated with hypotension, bradycardia and autonomic signs. Typically, neither structural affection of heart, nor pathology of heart rate are observed in patients with this pathology; values of blood pressure and heart rates are normal in these cases. An autonomic nerve system disorder is usually clinically inapparent, but can be reliably detected by head - upright tilt table test which imitates reaction of organism to orthostatic stress. The authors point out to difficulties associated with correct diagnostics of the disease, especially in patients suffering from convulsive syncopes having simultaneously an interictal EEG abnormalities.
