Embolisation to arterial system is common in patients with atrial fibrilation. Cardioembolisation into CNS prevails, extracranial embolisations are less common. This is the case of a 31-year-old male presented with colicky pains in the right, later also in the left hypochondrium and mezogastrium with atrial fibrilation and echocardiographic picture of dilated cardiomyopathy. Angiography of renal arteries confirmed bilateral embolisation into renal arteries. Prevalence of atrial fibrilation is also discussed in the article as well as relation between atrial fibrilation and left ventricle systolic dysfunction and therapeutic possibilities of the basic disease and benefit of embolisation prevention.
