Thyroid gland dysfunction can significantly affect the function of CVS. In hyperthyreoidism the most frequent sign is sinus tachycardia, fibrillation of atria and less frequent is supraventricular tachycardia. Hyperthyreoidism presents the risk of thromboembolic complications. On the other hand the most frequent hyperthyreoidism manifestation in CVS is bradycardia, pericardial exudate, minute volume reduction. Hyperthyreoidism, not only manifested, can be subclinical and at the same time a risk factor of atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease that is caused by associated hyperlipoproteinaenia. Thyreopathy, mostly thyrotoxicosis induced by amiodaron, is a significant problem at the borderline of cardiology and endocrinology. Not only symptomatology but also possibilities of therapeutic affect on cardiovascular manifestation of thyroid gland diseases and possibilities of treatment of amiodaron induced thyreopathy is presented in the _article.
