Summary. It is described a case report of the rare fulminant form of acute myocarditis with fatal termination in twenty-two years old man with history of hepatitis C treated by interferon, who was admitted at intensive care unit of internal department with history of nonspecific troubles with fifteen hours of duration, in cardiogenic shock, with quick progression of disease, who died after six hours from admission. Acute myocarditis was diagnosed on the basis of clinical conditions and other investigation methods, which was cause of cardiogenic shock. Interferon with its cardiotoxicity was probably presumed ethiopathogenetic cause of acute myocarditis. Autopsy and histopathologic examination confirmed diagnosis.
