A thorough stratification is the first step for successful therapeutic management of a patient with high metabolic risk from which particular steps, progressiveness and “aggressiveness” of non-pharmacological and pharmacological therapy can be derived. The survey study focuses on non-pharmacological and pharmacological therapeutic approaches to a high risk patient with emphasis on arterial hypertension and metabolic syndrome. Increasing prevalence of high cardiometabolic risk in population cannot be managed only by pharmacotherapy and intervention procedures. Breakthrough in unfavourable development can be real only if researchers, physicians and patients and society as a whole grasp the need of complex prevention, early detection and treatment of high risk population.
