The number of patients with kidney illnesses is growing. In spite of a high quality treatment, a big percentage of the patients get to a terminal stage of their illness when one of the final solutions is hemodialyses. There is a necessary condition for this treatment and it is providing a vein access. One of many possibilities is a permanent dialysing catheter. We started an implantation of the permanent catheter by a puncture technique in the middle of the year 2003. From June 2003 to October 2006 we implanted 111 permanent central vein catheters to 102 patients by this technique. Our successfulness was 95,6 %. We consider this method to be a safe and comfortable choice to provide the vein access for hemodialyses.
