Malignant lymphomas are neoplastic lymfoproliferative diseases, which usually firstly affect lymph nodes, but they can appear in any body organ. In the last few years its incidence has been increased, however the increase of the mortality of the disease is relatively lower. The most important etiologic factor is said to be the weakening of the immune system and viral and bacterial infection. The diagnosis is based on the immunohistological examination of representative samples of tumour tissues, mostly lymphatic nodes. However the exact subtype of the lymphoma needs to be confirmed at the specialised place with wide range of diagnostic technologies for example the molecular biology, cytogenetic and FISH analysis, flow cytometry etc.
