Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) belongs to autoimmune diseases with a distinct spectrum of comorbidities, which distinctly influence patients’ survival. The risk of death is higher than in common population. The risk of premature death is 2.4 -times. First of all secondary infections and cardiovascular diseases contribute to an increased mortality of patients with SLE. The premature death is largely the consequence of the combination of the active basic disease and infection. Accelerated atherosclerosis is a frequent cause of cardiovascular complications. An increased incidence of malignities, especially of lymphomas and sarcomas of soft tissues belongs to other comorbidities. We meet also with vestibular disorders of audition, cephalea, sensorineural loss of audition, incidence of episodic vertigo as well as manifestations of tiredness.
