Age-related changes in organism and occurrence of several chronical diseases, mainly in the more advanced stage cause that the course of diseases in older age is accompanied by complications. The tendency to complications is a typical feature of diseases of elderly people. We divided this topic into two parts. In the first one we presented the problem of complications in the geriatrics on a general level – we explained the basic concepts such as causal complication, geriatric syndromes, loss of self-sufficiency, geriatric social syndromes and iatrogenicity, we presented in more detail some of the clinical complications – malnutrition, obstipation and dysphagia. In the second part we continue in a well arranged presentation of more clinical complications typical for the geriatrics.
