Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is an important part of each cell of the human body with strong antioxidant properties, is of crucial
importance in generating of energy for maintaining the physiological functions of the individual organs of the body.
CoQ10 deficiency in the body is involved in many diseases, so it is recommended supportive, complementary therapy
with CoQ10. Determination of the CoQ10 concentration in plasma of selected groups of patients we consider to be a new
metabolic biomarker important for supportive diagnose and targeted therapy of various diseases such as inhereted
metabolic diseases, autism, in patients awaiting heart transplantation and patients with transplanted heart, in patients
treated with statins and in patients with fertility disorder.
