In the differential diagnostics, careful history and physical examination is very important to route examinational process towards the single chronic and relapsing abdominal pain types in compliance with dominant symptoms. In case that careful history and physical examination do not reveal any organic origin of the pain and „alarming findings“ are not present, the functional abdominal pain is most likely the cause.
