One of definition of osteoporosis is the disturbance of biochemical substances and osseous mineral compounds. Substantially developed bone mass in childhood is prevention of development of osteoporosis at later age. Milk is the first and the only source of proteins and mineral compounds at very early age of children, and at the same time it is the first food allergen. The aim of our study is to find out the scatter of values of bone metabolism markers in children with allergy for cow milk proteins. Standard biochemical parameters of bone metabolism in serum and urine were examined. Higher values of bone turnover in children with allergy for cow milk proteins point out a risk group of children with possible development of osteoporosis in adulthood.
