Celiac sprue and type 1 diabetes mellitus are diseases with autoimmune pathogenesis and they can develop in one patient as s.c. associated diseases. They are usually not manifested concurrently, but e.g., celiac sprue can appear earlier. Depistage by examination of tissue transglutaminase or endomysial antibodies is needed once per year in diabetics. In case of concurrent celiac sprue and diabetes complicated situation develops because specialists, parents and patients have to compose a diet and daily regime to compensate diabetes and get rid of gluten from food (even its minimum amount) ant at the same time to manage development and thriving of a child or adolescent. The mentioned data are presented in case reports.
