Interesting and relatively new field of immunology and cardiology represents the research oriented on the immune mechanisms associated with cardiac rythm and conduction disorders. A lot of studies are focused on the interpretation of immune system components in practical clinical use as markers for disease development and monitoring, prognosis establishment, in addition to the new pharmacological therapy affecting the pathological immune respones. Studying the influence of immune system on cardiac conduction and rythm disorders can answer the questions about etiopathogenesis in cardial disorders described as „idiopathic“. The aim of this article is to review the studied immune mechanisms, which can influence origin, development, reccurence, prognosis and therapy of some cardiac rythm and conduction disorders.
