Introduction: Vaccination is the most effective way of preventing communicable diseases. This issue is currently highly topical due to increase of anti-vaccination activities or refusing of mandatory children vaccination by their parents. The World Health Organization declares the yearly campaign of the European Immunization Week. We carried out at this occasion survey on people’s attitudes to vaccination in the streets of Martin in cooperation with the Regional Public Health Authority in Martin. Objective: identify and assess current attitudes of people in the streets of Martin to vaccination in relation to the previous year. Methods: The survey was conducted through questionnaire (controlled interview) in the streets of Martin during one day of European Immunization Week in the years 2010-2012. The questionnaire consisted of six closed questions. Results: Our sample consisted of 224 respondents in 2010, 184 respondents in 2011 and in 2012 were involved group of 210 respondents. The results showed that we recorded a decrease of respondents who consider vaccination as necessary by almost 9 % in year 2012 in comparison with the previous years. In 2012 was also recorded decrease of respondents who would give their child vaccinated. Comparing years 2010 and 2012 it is decrease of up to 11.2 %. Conclusion: Respondents are very sensitive to any information about complications associated with vaccination, which resulted in the decrease of the respondents who would give their child vaccinated.
