The prevalence of allergic diseases has increased dramatically during the last decades. The studies examining the effects
of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) for the development of allergic diseases, have shown a lower incidence or less
serious course of atopic diseases in the intervention group, although the majority of the studies had only a short time
period of evaluation. Food dietary factors are important, but still uncharted candidate in the search for environmental
strategies to reduce the enormous increase in allergic diseases in modern society. It is considered the role of omega-3
PUFA in allergic diseases, particularly in early life, even before the appearance of atopy. The authors in the article deal
