Introduction: Pediatric upper airway anomalies alter organ structure, thereby limiting their function. The authors give considerations for the diagnosis and management of the most common congenital malformations of the nasal cavity, larynx and trachea, associated functional damage of the larynx and optimal possibilities of their diagnosis and treatment.
Objectives: In the review the authors update the diagnostic options and optimal procedures in the treatment of congenital upper airway anomalies.
Methods: review
Conclusion: The field of reconstructive surgery for developmental disorders of the upper respiratory tract has achieved significant success. The availability of endoscopic microinstruments and a coordinated team allows surgery to be performed with a miniinvasive technique or tracheotomy early on in birth.
