Chest pain during child age is a non-specific symptom that pediatricians encounter frequently and may indicate minor as well as serious diseases. Cardiogenic causes of chest pain account for only 1-4% of cases in paediatrics but these are cases in which pathology needs to be promptly recognized and responded correctly. Palpitations are a common accompanying symptom of chest pain. Medical history and physical examination are the most important part of the assessment of a patient with chest pain and must be directed by the clinician towards the correct organ system that is causing the reported complaints. In the case report we present a case of a 15-year-old patient with chest pain and palpitations that occurred suddenly during a football match.
