Irritable bladder is a frequent diseas and represents a serious health, social and economic problem. In the treatment of irritable bladder the most important is the pharmacologic treatment mainly by anticholergics. Pharmacotherapy is limited by effectivness and advers effects of the drugs, which directly or indirectly relaxe the smooth muscle. On the basis of the literature dates in the article the clinical efficacy and advers effects of the flavoxate hydrochlorid, oxybutinine, propiverin hydrochlorid, teltoridine, trospium chlorid and others drugs are presented. The drugs recently used in the treatment of irritable bladder have been very effective and now step by step are replaced by others with higher clinical effectivity and lesser advers effects. Theese drugs should be introduced in the praxis as soon as possible.
