Termination of pregnancy in midtrimester in comparison with termination in early pregnancy brings essential differences as from the medical point of view so from the socioeconomic one, too. While termination of pregnancy in early pregnancy is usually a result of decision and wish of a woman without real information about the fetal status and well being of the developing fetus in the midtrimester, almost in all cases the reason that leads to the decision for termination of pregnancy is genetic deterioration of the fetus or abnormal morphological development. Similarly, mode for realization of the performance is in principle different due to physiological process and its duration, too. In this article the authors target to some medical, ethical and also presumptions of law connected with issue of termination of pregnancy in the midtrimester.
