A reconstruction of volume date gained at 3D ultrasonography allows for a tomographic assessment of basic anatomical structures as well as realisation of biometric measurements of a foetus at the end of the first trimester. The output diagnostic information depends on the primary selected plane in 2D B-mode at scanning of volume data. With approaching to medial sagittal plane at scanning of volume data in the foetus at the end of the first trimester, the successfulness of imaging of reconstructed exact median sagittal plane as well as of other anatomical structures is growing. Archiving of foetal volume data at the end of the first trimester allows for audit and training of personnel to gain this plane suitable for measuring of nuchal translucency, front maxillofacial angle, and examination of absence of nasal bone as well as intracranial translucency.
