Authors of this paper present a case report about severe clostridial infection connected with septic shock after caesarean section. They give a detailed description of clostridial infection “post-partum“ and point to diagnostics, clinical features and sequential management in the treatment of puerperal sepsis. Septic shock after delivery caused by Clostridium species is very rare. In this case report authors set the attention to CT diagnostics that belongs to the most sensitive and specific evaluation in diagnostics of gas gangrene of the uterus. They emphasize importance of interdisciplinary cooperation that could lead to a quick diagnostics and effective therapy.
