Condylomata acuminata are considered one of the most common sexually transmitted infections caused by HPVs (Human
Papilloma Viruses). The therapy of condylomata acuminata is difficult due to the high risk of recurrence, resulting
in frustration of the patient and the doctor. Currently, the available therapeutic modalities are focused on elimination
of the clinical manifestation of HPV. The authors provide the information about topical therapeutic agents of
condylomata acuminata. Cryotherapy with liquid nitrogen, cytotoxic agents, topical immunomodulators, and sinecatechins
are usually used in the therapy. Experimental therapeutics is available, too. Only a few topical drugs can be used
in the treatment of pregnant women.
