Infertility is not only a serious medical but socioeconomic problem, too. The failure to conceive is nowadays recognised
in one fifth of fertile-aged couples in developed countries with continually rising prevalence. A significant number of
factors are involved in infertility, besides environmental factors and lifestyle, there are many medical, especially genetic,
anatomical, infectious and hormonal factors. In recent years the connection between the immune and reproductive
system come to th fore, especially the function of immune system in pregnancy disorders. Expansion of knowledge in
this field is continually rising, and new diagnostic and therapeutic methods are developed. In our review, we bring some
basic information about reproductive immunology and diagnostic procedures, which are available recently.
