Spinal epidural abscess is a rare, but severe pyogenic infection of the epidural space. The late detection may lead to devastating neurological deficit and may be fatal. The authors present case of 67 years old women with epidural absces along the whole spinal channel with maximum in cervical part. They are discussing more factors in etiopatogenesis: trauma of cervical spinal cord in recent history, medication with warfarin, aplication of intramuscular injections and hematogenic septicemy. They point on ability of conservative therapy without necessity of surgical intervention.
