Endovascular interventions are with imaging technique directed catheter-based, mostly percutaneous, vascular therapeutic procedures. They create the content of vascular part of interventional radiology. Complex of these techniques is the basis of endovascular treatment of most hemodynamically significant arterial and venous lesions. The important feature is less invasivity in comparison to surgical revascularization in indicated cases. The very quickly progress of different endovascular method was preceeded with development of catheter-based angiography in diagnostic vascular radiology. Diagnostic and interventional vascular radiology has become an important integral clinical part of vascular medicine.
