Narrowing of the main stem of left coronary artery has the worst outcome among all forms of coronary artery disease. Surgical revascularization is a standard therapy, however, due to improvement of its techniques PCI emerged as a more gentle alternative to major surgery. With the longer follow-up the data of method’s efficacy with the results similar to surgery rise. Recently published randomized clinical trials, however, have not provided a crucial evidence about non-inferiority of PCI, as the statistical power of subgroup analyses was not sufficient. For validation of favorable trends in defined patients’ subgroups other prospective trials with at least 5-year follow-up are needed.
