The aim of this article is to lead the reader into the general concepts of endovascular aortic diseases and to bring its actual possibilities, results and limitations. The rapid development in the field of endovascular treatment of aortic disease has brought changes in indication criteria for the aortic disease treatment. The article summarizes current approach to indications regarding the identification of suitable candidates for the cardiovascular treatment. The part of the work is the connection of the problem and the emphasis on the key role of imaging modalities (namely computer tomography) and complexity of the multidisciplinary team as well as of material - technical provision of workplace which is crucial for quick and correct diagnosis of aortic lesions, reaching of therapeutical consensus to the given treatment and in the case of endovascular treatment its right timing, course and results. Not least is also lifelong monitoring of patients after endovascular treatment of the aortic lesion, which is an integral part of the treatment.
