Catheterization stent implantation in patients with congenital heart disease is an interventional procedure that enables the correction of vascular stenoses in different localizations, as well as the maintenance of some communications in palliative univentricular correction of complex congenital heart diseases. The main limiting factor of stents implantation in children is the impossibility to implant a stent which will be sufficiently large for an adult size organism through their small vessels. During the follow-up of patients with an implanted stent, we focus on imaging of the stents patency and integrity. For visualization of an implanted stent we use a combination of different imaging modalities: chest radiography, fluoroscopy, echocardiography, CT angiography, magnetic resonance and angiography.
