Myxomas are the most common benign primary tumors of the heart, usually sized from 2 to 6 cm. The atrial myxoma
symptoms depend on its present location and the symptoms include embolization, tendency to intracardiac blood flow
obstruction and nonspecific symptoms..
Echocardiogram is the most useful diagnostic tool, which precisely describes the position, size and myxoma attachment
to the heart. Final diagnosis of myxoma can be confirmed only by histopatholog. The disease treatment is surgical excision
with an excellent prognosis and low risk of re-occurrence. Condition of a 44-year old male patient with left atrium
myxoma, led to severe pulmonary hypertension with right-sided heart failure. Clinical improvement occurred after
the surgery, which led to a decrease in pulmonary pressure.
