Authors present differential diagnostics of a 51-year-old till this time healthy male who was admitted to the hospital because of one week persisting temperature up to 39o Celsius and pain in his waist. Despite standardized biochemical, hematological, microbiological and serological investigations also particular imaging examination was used. e.g. ultrasound of the abdomen and CT. The authors focus on reading contrast ultrasound examination using SonoVue preparation, its principles and advantages. Based on diagnostic procedures the patient was operated on and encapsulated focus retroperitoneally located was found that was extirpated. Histological investigation revealed moderate differentiated leiomyosarcoma. The patient is without pathological findings at present and followed-up in particular specialized out-patient departments.
