Background: The prevalence of a coeliac disease has an increased trend in the population. This disease has a significant impact on the patient‘s quality of life. The aim of our work was to validate a Slovak version of coeliac disease-specific questionnaire, the CD-QOL (Coeliac disease quality of life survey). Material and methods: For evaluation of inner consistency of the questionnaire we have used Cronbach’s alpha coefficient, and for structural validity Pearson’s correlation coefficient. Results: After translation and checking of back translation by the author, we have made a Slovak version of the questionnaire. The value of Cronbach’s alpha coefficient reached 0.9 (high level of inner consistency of questionnaire). Pearson’s correlation coefficient based on test-retest showed a high degree of compliance between values for each domain (p < 0.05). Conclusion: The CD-QOL can be a useful tool for evaluating of the change in coeliac patient‘s life quality.
