The final report summarises data collected by the protocol of non-interventional observation
RECON (REtrospective study CONtraceptive). Study RECON aims to
describe the spectrum of peroral hormonal contraception given to women in Slovakia,
reasons for initiation and long-term benefits of using contraception. Selection
and initiation of using oral hormonal contraception are often influenced by different
requirements of a patient. The valuation of the most often listed reasons for initiation
of using contraception, informs us about factors affecting the selection of patients.
Modern products provide not only a high degree of protection against unwanted conception
but also other non-contraceptive benefits. By gathering data, we investigate
why patients continue using contraception or on the other hand terminate the usage.
