Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of Slovak Medical University, in the University Hospital Bratislava, is growing simultaneously with the number of newborns suffering such disease, who were diagnosed antenatally. In this article we are presenting the medical data of neonates, born in the period of years 2008-2018, who were transfered in utero to our department, with the consecutive health care provided in Children’s Cardiocentre of Slovac National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases. The rational management of all in utero transports, with regard to the specific type of the congenital heart disease and especially to fetal maturity in the time-period of the delivery, are pivotal. We propose the basic communication mode preceding the transfer in utero of the newborns with congenital heart disease, with the aim of optimalization of the health care of critically ill newborns.
